Details The Ashraf lab at
the University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a post-doctoral research
associate with a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering or other closely related
disciplines including material science, chemistry, and chemical engineering.
The post-doctoral research associate will work with Dr. Warda Ashraf on
multiple federal and state-funded research projects. Visit www.ashraf-lab.com to

position will start as early as January 2024. The initial appointment will be
for one year and can be extended based on mutual agreement. Research Area: Carbon sequestration
in cementitious materials. Requirements: 1. Ph.D. in Civil
Engineering or related field with research experience on cementitious
materials 2. Proven record of
research accomplishments through publications in peer-reviewed journals and
presentations at national/ international conferences 3. Strong fundamental
understanding of various low-carbon cementitious materials 4. Experimental skill
in processing/characterizations of cementitious materials (e.g., SEM, TEM,
XRD, etc.) 5. Ability to work in a
team environment with strict deadlines 6. Oral and written
communication skills in English, and self-motivation with strong work ethics Responsibilities 1. Design and conduct
nano/micro-scale experimental investigations on low-carbon cementitious
materials. 2. Analyze data,
prepare project reports, and draft high-quality scientific publications. 3. Present project
updates to the federal sponsors regularly. |
